British Army Altberg Defender Boots BTS07

British Army Altberg Defender Boots BTS07

For decades the British Army seemed to always have problems with its boots. Since 2012 though when these were first adopted they appear to have finally got it right. They now have a range of up to 10 different styles depending on operational requirements. These chocolate brown “Defender” boots are made by Altberg of Yorkshire, makers of high quality hiking boots and are intended for “intensive combat with high levels of activity” ie carrying heavy packs for long distances over rough terrain. They are made from full-grain water-proof Anfibio leather and feature Vibram soles and a moisture wicking Cambrelle lining. These boots have seen military use so will have the usual scratches, scuffs and some wear to the soles and some will have padded insole, some not.. However, as we have limited stock of them, we will always endeavour to hand select the best available pair.
