DDR, NVA M56/76 Stahlhelm

Originally designed in 1942, but not introduced until 1956, this “Stahlhelm” or Steel Helmet became the distinctive look of the DDR (East German) troops throughout the Cold War. This helmet is as pictured in good, probably unissued condition with some minor storage rust on the shell. The size stamping is indistinct but it was made some time in the 1970’s. “Brendons helmets” website has more information on this and many other types of helmet.
