French Army M51 Steel Helmet HLT03

We received a number of these French Army M51 helmets and a few stood out as being particularly collectible. Modelled on the US M1, the French Army introduced these in the mid 1950’s and they saw service right up to the 1980’s. This example has the early fixed bales, O.D. webbing, smooth paint finish and green leather liner strap. The liner is dated 1962 and the shell 1963. The helmet appears unissued and is in excellent condition with only minor storage marks etc.
