Mitchell Helmet Cover

These reversible camouflage covers for the U.S. M1 helmet were introduced  in 1959 and were used by all Army and Marine personnel well into the 70’s before being replaced by the Woodland camouflage scheme. This cover is likely ex-NZ Army from the M1’s that began to be issued from the mid 60’s onwards. The cover is as pictured in good used condition with a FSN (federal stock number) which dates it anywhere between 1955 to 1974! These covers are getting hard to get and going for ridiculous sums online.
