NZ Made Pattern 1950 JG Trousers Size 7

First introduced by the British Army as the 1950 Pattern in Jungle Green Cotton Drill, these trousers were distinguishable by their crossover buckle straps which enabled them to be tightened as soldiers lost weight in the jungle environment.Adopted by the NZ Army at around the same time and then made locally, they were worn up to the late 1980’s when DPM camouflage began to be introduced. These trousers are brand new,un-issued and were made by Tracey Manufacturing in 1974.They came to us with no buckles so we added some which fit perfectly.Great as a collectible or as a unique vintage garment to wear these are a mint example of an increasingly hard to find item. They are Army size 7 which in civilian language is a 34″ (87cm) waist and 30″ (76cm) Leg.
