NZ WW2 Canteen

Here we have a New Zealand manufactured MkVII blue enamelled canteen or waterbottle matched with a British made 37 pattern sleeve carrier marked M.E.Co 1943. The sleeve carrier shows signs of having had blue/grey blanco on it so possibly it saw service with the RNZAF?
