Polish Army Bread Bag BAG42

These very handy little bags come to us from the Cold War era Polish Army and were known as a “bread” bag – i.e, a small bag used to carry basic personal items and food/bread etc. Made from a cotton/linen drab green canvas and measuring approximately 27cm wide,10cm deep and 25cm tall these bags have loads of interesting features. The top flap has a two position tab and staple closure and internally it has a central divider, four small buttoned pockets with a cinch strap on top and two small open pockets on the front face. On the rear face there is a carry handle and cinch straps which pass through tabs enabling it to be worn on a belt or perhaps even bicycle handle bars/pannier racks? Someone obviously had fun designing these! The bags came to us without straps so we have attached an adjustable 140cm long canvas strap.
