U.S. M1 General Purpose Ammunition Bag

These general purpose ammunition bags were introduced in 1943 for the US Army as a way to carry the ever increasing amounts of ammunition and equipment required for combat. The bag was made by Victory Canvas in 1945 in OD No7 and it is the 2nd model having clip and D-ring side straps to fit to the corresponding attachments on the GP strap which unfortunately missing. Apart from a hole by a bottom D-ring the bag is in very good condition.
