WW1 Belgian Army Canteen

Here we have an aluminium canteen that was used by mounted troops of the Belgian Army during WW1. Overall it is in very good condition for its age, the wool felt covering having virtually no moth damage and the leather strapping still supple. However the cork has broken off and it is missing the carry strap which would have passed through the riveted leather tabs attached to the sides and bottom of the cover. Never the less it is a rare and interesting relic from over 100 years ago.
