Greatcoat, Dismounted, 1940 Pattern

This WW2 British/NZ Wool Greatcoat looks like it has “been through the wars” as they say, probably because it has. The actual date of manufacture is obscured but it is a 1940 Dismounted pattern used throughout WW2 by all Commonwealth forces. Made in the UK by The Fifty Shilling Tailors and a size 8 with NZ Forces buttons it obviously has a big hole (cigarette?) in the front and it has been attacked by moths but apart from that it is complete with all buttons present and it has crowns on each shoulder strap denoting the rank of Major.
